Exmouth Coffee Company – Whitechapel, London

IMAG0357Located between KFC and Burger King you will find a quaint cafe with no signs and lots of delicious pastry eye candy to entice customers. Window shopping for what to have, we strolled in and sat in the center table. Surrounded by picturesque industrial and minimalist décor we watched as fresh coffee was grounded.

The flat white coffee was smooth with a very slight bitter roasted taste. The texture and taste was just right for my liking. We ordered mozzarella in flat bread which was nice but tasted a little dry, maybe a drizzle of olive oil would have done the trick. High recommendations for the tomato and avocado salad, taste was fresh and very light which was instantly consumed.

Returning to the front of the cafe for some more window shopping, the manager advised all meat was halal, I had wished I asked earlier for this information. The Algerian Muslim manager gave us a pastrami flat bread on the house which as well presented and tasted smoked with a hint of salt. He insisted we took some more halal dishes, but breakfast was now turning to lunch.

Exmouth Coffee Company is one to visit, everything is fresh and made in house. Breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are constantly changing. We will be sure to revisit to try some of the amazing cakes on display and of course that lovely coffee!
